TVEL inks deal to supply fuel to Xudabao Chinese nuke plant

MOSCOW, Nov 6 (PRIME) -- Fuel company TVEL, part of Russian nuclear power corporation Rosatom, has signed a contract to deliver nuclear fuel to the future third and fourth units of the Xudabao nuclear power plant in China with CNEIC, CNLNPC and CNSP, TVEL said in a report on Wednesday.

“The contract includes supply of nuclear fuel assemblies for the initial loading of reactors, and further recharges,” TVEL said.

Two blocks will be built in China under the Russian design with VVER-1,200 reactors in Xudabao Village in the Liaoning Province, in northeast China.
